Mr. Hou Kai, Auditor General of the National Audit Office of China, met with Mr. Viengthavisone Thephachanh, President of the State Audit Organization of Laos in Beijing on September 4, 2023. The heads of the two SAIs signed Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation after the meeting.

Mr. Thephachanh later visited Nanjing Audit University where he delivered a lecture on Lao audit work.
