Mr. Hou Kai, Chair of the United Nations Board of Auditors and Auditor General of the National Audit Office of China, presides over the 53rd Special Session of the UN Board of Auditors, and attends the 63rd Regular Session of the UN Panel of External Auditors in New York from 18 to 23 November 2023.

During the sessions, Mr. Hou Kai, together with other Panel member, met with UN Secretary General Mr. Antonio Guterres, and discussed issues relating to audit findings. Mr. Hou also talked with the heads of the SAIs of Indonesia, Chile, France, India, and Switzerland, all of whom were in New York for the Panel session.
