Audit seminar for Pacific SAIs held in China

The 4th Audit Seminar for Pacific SAIs was held in China from November 5 to 14, 2018. Hu Zejun, Auditor General of CNAO, made a keynote speech on the latest development of government audit in China at the opening session.

Hu Zejun said the strategic goal of government audit in China is to promote the modernization of national governance system and governance capacity. She also introduced China’s reform of audit management system to the participants of the seminar.

Deputy Auditors General Qin Boyong and Yuan Ye also made presentations on environmental audit and poverty alleviation audit in China respectively at the seminar .

Allen Parker, Director of Audit of Cook Islands, Camillo Afele, Controller and Auditor-General of Samoa, Puva Heako, Assistant Auditor-General of Papua New Guinea, and other Pacific representatives participated in the seminar.

Representatives also visited CNAO’s Harbin Office and Beijing Municipal Audit Office during the seminar. Cheng Zhiming, Vice Governor of Heilongjiang Province, met with the representatives in Harbin.
