INTOSAI Financial Audit Subcommittee (FAS) held its annual meeting from 4 to 5 September 2013, in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The meeting was organized by the SAI of Sweden as FAS secretariat, and hosted by the SAI of UAE. 24 representatives of 15 members and 1 observer has attended the meeting. Mr. Chen lei took part in the meeting as the representative of CNAO.

It was the second time for CNAO to attend the annual meeting of FAS ever since the accession of China to FAS. The meeting approved the Draft Minutes of FAS meeting in Stockholm of 2012 and draft Practice Note 1610. During the meeting, representatives discussed the need for changes to ISSAIs, topics for FAS work plan for 2014-2016 and the Chairman’s reflection over the work of FAS in the past 10 years.

Mr.Chen Lei actively participated in the meeting discussion and made relevant suggestions, which covered advice on the role of new ISSAI 200 (Fundamental Standards of Financial Audit), the relationship between new ISSAI 200 and ISSAI 1000, and the improvement of work of IDI.
