Nigerien audit delegation pays first visit to China

At the invitation of Mr. Liu Jiayi, Auditor General of CNAO, a six-member Nigerien audit delegation led by Madame Eliane Allagbada, President of the Cour des Comptes of the Republic of Niger, paid an official goodwill visit to China.

Auditor General Liu Jiayi met with all the members of the delegation, and held a working meeting with them. During the meeting, CNAO introduced its history, organizational structure, functions, operation status and development, and conducted a deep exchange of the audit institutions’ role in anti-corruption. Mr. Liu indicated that China and Niger are close friends, and CNAO is willing to share its experience and lessons with Niger’s SAI, and to further promote exchanges and cooperation.

Madame Eliane Allagbada said, as a young audit institution established in 2010, the Cour des Comptes of Niger is eager to learn the advanced experience of auditing from China. She looked forward to the support by the CNAO in the auditing field, and wished the INCOSAI XXI to be held next year hosted by the CNAO a great success.

Dr. Dong Dasheng, CNAO’s Deputy Auditor General, and officials from CNAO’s Department of Economic Accountability and Department of International Cooperation joined the meeting.

The Nigerien audit delegation later visited Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and exchanged experience with Guangdong Provincial Audit Office and Shenzhen Municipal Audit Office. Mr. Zhu Xiaodan, Governor of Guangdong Province, met with the Nigerien guests. The Nigerien colleagues highly appreciated all the things done for their tour in China, and successfully wrapped up their visit with deep love and gratitude towards the Chinese people.
