A four-member delegation from the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation, led by Deputy Chairman Valery Goreglyad, visited the CNAO from June 17 to 20. Auditor General Liu Jiayi met with the delegation, highly appreciating the mutual trust and close relations between the two SAIs. The two sides agreed to launch a bilateral seminar in Russia in September this year.

CNAO’s Deputy Auditor General, Dr. Shi Aizhong, hosted a working session with the Russian delegation. At the meeting, Dr. Shi introduced the latest development of auditing in China, elaborated on China’s experience of auditing the construction projects of the Olympic Games, and answered questions raised by Russian colleagues. Meanwhile, Mr. Goreglyad introduced Russian Federation Accounts Chamber’s practice on investment audit. The two sides also discussed other issues of common concern.

Officials from the CNAO’s Department of International Cooperation, Department of Fixed Assets Investment Audit, and Russian Embassy to China joined the meeting as well. The Russian delegation later paid a visit to the Beijing Municipal Audit Office.
