The Chinese delegation, headed by Dr. SUN Baohou, Deputy Auditor General of the CNAO, attended the 52^nd (2011) Regular Session of Panel of External Auditors of the United Nations, the Specialized Agencies and the International Atomic Energy Agency and the 41^st Special Session of United Nations Board of Auditors on December 3-6, 2011 in New Delhi, India.

A total of 34 participants from 10 member SAIs and the Secretariat of United Nations Board of Auditors were present at the meetings. On behalf of Mr. LIU Jiayi, Auditor General of the CNAO and the Chairman of United Nations Board of Auditors, Dr. DONG hosted the 41^st Special session. The session highlighted several items such as re-allocation of assignments among Board members, the update on the implementation of IPSAS system-wide, proposal for conducting performance audit, revision of Rules of Procedure of the Board, report of the Audit Operations Committee on the audit activities for the second half of 2011, and budget for external audit costs for the biennium 2012-2013, etc.

Besides, the Session elected Mr. Vinod Rai, Comptroller and Auditor General of India, and Mr. Amyas Morse, Comptroller and Auditor General of the UK, as the Chair and Vice-Chair of the UN Panel of External Auditors. Next session of the Panel will be held on 10—11 December 2012 and special session of the UN Board of Auditors will be convened on the afternoon of December 11.
