Upon the invitation of the Comptroller General of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, a two-people delegation from the CNAO attended the 12th General Assembly of OLACEFS from 17—24 October 2011 as observers.
A total of 96 participants were present at the Assembly, including the representatives from 25 member SAIs of OLACEFS, and special guests or observers from IDI, World Bank, American Development Bank, SAIs of South Africa, Saudi Arabic and China, etc. Mr. Elias Jana, Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.
Besides the development of Governing Board meeting, the Assembly asked the technical commissions to arrange 4 technical sessions. The participants were actively involved in the plenary debate and discussions on 4 main themes: ‘Citizen Participation in Accountability’, ‘Use and Manage of Water’, ‘Ethic in the EFS’ and ‘Virtual Library’.
Upon the invitation of the President of OLACEFS, the CNAO representative made a presentation on the preparation for the 21st INCOSAI. During the Assembly, the Chinese delegation also made an interview to Dr. Carlos Pólit Faggioni. Comptroller General of Ecuador and President of OLACEFS.
