Liu Jiayi, Chairman of the INTOSAI Governing Board and Auditor General of China, delivered an opening speech at the 8th Meeting of the INTOSAI Working Group on VBS (WGVBS) hosted in Auditor’s Continuing Education Academy in Nanjing on September 14th, 2015.
In his speech, Mr. Liu highly praised the contribution of WGVBS, since its creation in 2007, to communicating the value and benefits of SAIs as well as its significance for national governance. Sr. Juan M. Portal, Auditor Superior of SAI Mexico and Chair of WGVBS, expressed his thanks to National Audit Office of China (CNAO) and Mr. Liu for hosting this meeting and reported progress of the working group.
Eight participants from 12 SAIs and IDI attended the meeting. Dr. Sun Baohou, Deputy Auditor General of China also joined the event.
