Auditor General Liu Jiayi meets with Pakistani counterpart

Mr. Liu Jiayi, Auditor General of the National Audit Office of China, met with Mr. Rana Assad Amin, Auditor-General of Pakistan, and his delegation on February 27, 2017. Ms. Qin Boyong, Deputy Auditor General of CNAO, was also present at the meeting.

Two auditors general exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the National Audit Office of China and the Office of the Auditor-General of Pakistan, and signed a MoU between the two SAIs.

Mr. Liu said China and Pakistanshould carry forward the traditional friendship pioneeredby the older generation of the two countries and deepen their all-weather strategic partnership of cooperation. Mr. Liu believed the signing of the MoU would turn a new chapter for the cooperation of the SAIs of China and Pakistan.

Mr. Amin quoted former Pakistan Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilanito describe the China-Pakistan friendshipas “higher than the mountains and deeper than the sea”, and expressed his will to fully implement the MoU.

The Pakistani delegation also visited Shanghai and met with Mr. Zhou Bo, Executive Vice Mayor of Shanghai Government and officials from Shanghai Municipal Audit Office.
