The National Audit Office of China (CNAO) hosted the Young ASOSAI Excellence Program (YAEP) in Nanjing and Shanghai, China, from September 22 to 26, 2025, with a dual focus on “Sharpening Professional Skills” and “Embracing Technological Innovation.”

Over 90 young auditors representing 42 ASOSAI member SAIs gathered for the program. Participants exchanged insights on building core auditing competencies, delved into case studies on the application of technological tools in auditing practices, and jointly launched the International Advocacy of ASOSAI Young Auditors: Sharpening Professional Skills and Embracing Technological Innovation.

A highlight of the program was the “Dialogue with Heads of SAIs,” where young auditors gained first-hand valuable insights directly from leaders of four ASOSAI member SAIs, including Mr. Hou Kai, Auditor General of CNAO, Mr. Alikhan Smailov, Chairman of Supreme Audit Chamber of Kazakhstan, Ms. Isma Yatun, Chairperson of the Audit Board of Indonesia, and Mr. Ammar Khalaf, President of Federal Board of Supreme Audit of Iraq.
