The annual National Audit Work Conference was convened in Beijing on January 9-10, 2026. Mr. Hou Kai, Auditor General of the National Audit Office of China, delivered a keynote speech at the meeting.

The meeting reviewed the audit work carried out in 2025 and during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) period, and discussed plans for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) period and the year of 2026.

From January to November 2025, audit institutions nationwide conducted audits of over 46,000 entities, contributing to increased revenue, reduced expenditures, and the recovery of losses totaling more than 370 billion yuan, while also improving over 26,000 regulations and systems.
