The 80th regular session of the United Nations Board of Auditors (UNBOA) was held at the UN Headquarters in New York from July 21 to 22, 2026. Hou Kai, Auditor General of the National Audit Office of China and Member of the UNBOA, attended the meeting with his French and Brazilian counterparts. The meeting marked the conclusion of Hou’s six-year term as Member of the UNBOA

The UNBOA members reviewed and adopted 22 audit reports of relevant UN entities for the fiscal year 2025. During the session, UN Secretary-General António Guterres met with the UNBOA members to exchange views on challenges facing the United Nations and the UN80 Initiative.
