Yuan Ye visits Suriname, attends WGVBS meeting in Jamaica

From 15 to 23 September, Dr. Yuan Ye, Deputy Auditor General of the CNAO, and his delegation visited the Rekenkamer van Suriname (SAI of Suriname), and attend the 11th meeting of the INTOSAI Working Group on Value and Benefits of SAIs (WGVBS) in Jamaica.

During his visit to Suriname, Dr. Yuan sent regards from Ms. Hu Zejun, Auditor General of CNAO, to Ms. Charmain Felter, President of the Rekenkamer, and expressed CNAO’s willingness to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two SAIs as well as collaboration between CNAO and Caribbean SAIs.

Dr. Yuan also gave a lecture on CNAO’s ICT audit and big data audit at the invitation of the Rekenkamer. Ms. Jennifer Simons, Chairperson of the National Assembly of Suriname, attended the lecture.

At the INTOSAI WGVBS meeting, Dr. Yuan shared CNAO’s experience on risk management in data audit and investigative audit, and discussed issues of common interest with other SAIs.

32 representatives from 14 SAIs participated in this meeting.
