CNAO signs statement of commitments of ISSAI implementation initiative

From 26 February to 2 March, the IDI-ASOSAI ISSAI Implementation Initiative (3i Programme) was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The CNAO delegation headed by Mr. Ma Qingshan, Acting Director General of Legal Affairs Department, attended this workshop. With the authorization of Mr. Liu Jiayi, Mr. Ma Qingshan signed the Statement of Commitments of 3i Programme.

As the most important content of this workshop, all participating SAIs are called upon to sign the Statement of Commitments with IDI and ASOSAI Secretariat for 3i programme. The Statement requires each SAI define roles and responsibilities of ISSAI Facilitators by April 2013 and reserve the facilitators for facilitating ISSAI interventions at SAI and regional level; carry out ISSAI compliance assessments with the help of ISSAI Facilitators by March 2014; formulate ISSAI Implementation Strategy or review current ISSAI implementation strategy in light of iCAT findings by June 2014; monitor, evaluate and report on ISSAI implementation annually. CNAO will take actions to follow the statements step by step.

During the workshop the participating SAIs shared their respective experiences related to ISSAI Implementation; and discussed strategic considerations for implementation and the risks and challenges. And IDI made presentations of ISSAI Compliance Assessment Tools (iCATs).
