From July 4 to 13, 2012, a delegation composed of six auditors from the CNAO has visited the SAI of Uganda and Mauritius for a study tour.
It is not only a part of a series of study tours assigned by CNAO on the topic of audit management, strategic planning and audit innovation of African SAIs after the 4th Sino-African Audit Seminar held in China in 2011, but also one of the publicity efforts taken for the preparation of the XXI INCOSAI in 2013.
The delegation has made presentations on the Real Time Audit and Accountability Audit to senior auditors of both SAIs and exchanged with them on various technical issues. The SAIs of Uganda and Mauritius also introduced to the delegation on the Forensic Audit and Auditing over Program-based Auditing respectively as well as multiple topics of strategic planning, performance reporting and audit methodologies.
As a part of the publicity efforts, the delegation shared with both SAIs of the progress of the preparation for the XXI INCOSAI as well as the theme I work. The delegation leader has invited both SAIs to actively participate in the theme work and provide country papers.
