Mr Liu Jiayi, Auditor General of China visited the Board of Audit and Inspection of Korea and the Board of Audit of Japan from April 3 to 10, 2012.

During the visit, Mr Liu Jiayi held talks with Mr Kun Yang, Chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection of Korea and Mr Hiroyuki Shigematsu, President of the Board of Audit of Japan respectively. The heads of SAIs shared views on the role of audit in promoting good governance at the national level and other audit issues of mutual interest. Mr Liu also exchanged information with Mr Yang and Mr Shigematsu respectively on the latest developments in SAIs of China, Korea and Japan. With CNAO as the host of the 2013 XXI INCOSAI, Mr Liu also briefed his Korean and Japanese colleagues the preparation of INCOSAI including drafting of theme I paper by CNAO on “National Audit and National Governance”.

On April 4, Mr Liu Jiayi also called on Mr Hwangsik Kim, Prime Minister of Korea when the Prime Minister expressed his best wishes for the XXI INCOSAI to be held in Beijing in 2013.
