CNAO delegates attended the 2nd Sino-India young auditors’forum

From 31 October to 8 November 2011, ten delegates from various departments of the CNAO attended the 2nd Sino-India young auditors’ forum hosted by SAI India in Mumbai.

On the forum, Chinese young auditors, along with their Indian counterparts, made insightful and vivid presentations on the topics of the unique role of government audit and codes of professional ethics. These presentations not only thoroughly sum up past experiences and current practices in the CNAO and SAI India, but also bring up some new trends and fresh ideas. Delegates also exchanged opinion on other issues of mutual interest such as quality control procedures and IT audit.

On the closing ceremony, Mr. Vinod Rai, Comptroller and Auditor General of India, met with Chinese delegates. He extended his heartfelt welcome to Chinese delegates and sincere regards to Mr. Liu Jiayi, Auditor General of CNAO. He speaks highly of the importance of this event and believes that it will continue to promote the friendship between CNAO and SAI India in the future. On behalf of Chinese delegates, Mr. Peng Huazhang, Director General of CNAO’s Resident Office in Changsha, expressed gratitude for SAI India's hospitality .

As a part of bilateral communication between the CNAO and SAI India, the young auditors’ forum was initiated by the heads of two SAIs. In 2010 the CNAO hosted the 1st Sino-India Young Auditors’ Forum. Both parties will take turns to host the forum to strengthen mutual understanding between young auditors of China and India.
